Today Dad is 100 years old!
He's doing well, and is so appreciative of all the cards and notes he's gotten. Nearly 200 so far! Not to mention several boxes of sweets and other goodies. Since I can't travel to Milwaukee to be with him, I'm also appreciative that others have helped Dad celebrate this day.
Dad lives independently in his own apartment. He has all his hair, all his teeth and takes no meds. He cleans his apartment every day, and takes care of all his bills. Dad continues to enjoy cooking, and comes up with his own recipes. Dad says he's glad to have made it to 100, but he wishes it were a different time without the pandemic.
The photo of me with the birthday cake was taken when I was 11. That was the first cake I ever made.
